FAQ

Find answers to your questions

Explore the information below to find answers to frequently asked questions, ensuring you have all the details you need to make the most out of your coffee experience.

Why are specialty coffee prices higher than commodity coffee?

Specialty coffee commands higher prices due to superior quality, unique taste profiles, and the exceptional cup experience it delivers. The quality, taste, and final cup vary significantly from commodity-grade coffee. We offer volume discounts and flexible logistics options (air and sea) to help manage pricing while maintaining premium quality.

What makes Kenyan coffee special?

Kenyan coffee is renowned for its bright acidity, full body, and distinctive flavor notes including black currant, wine-like characteristics, and complex fruit flavors. The high altitude, volcanic soils, and meticulous processing methods contribute to its exceptional quality and unique taste profile.

How can you help improve my peace of mind when sourcing coffee?

We provide transparent communication, reliable sourcing, consistent quality control, and flexible partnership terms. Our team on the ground in Kenya ensures you get exactly what you need, when you need it. We're honest about what we can and can't offer, so you always know where you stand.

What makes Kenyan tea special compared to other origins?

Kenyan tea is grown at high altitudes (up to 2,700 meters) in the volcanic soils near Mount Kenya, producing a unique flavor profile that's both bold and bright. Kenya is the world's largest exporter of black tea and a leader in specialty teas like Purple Tea—a rare varietal found almost exclusively in Kenya. The equatorial climate, combined with ideal rainfall and sunshine, creates teas with exceptional color, briskness, and natural sweetness. Our teas come from these renowned highland regions, ensuring you receive the same quality that makes Kenyan tea sought after worldwide.

Can I order tea samples before committing to larger quantities?

Absolutely! Just like our coffee offerings, we understand the importance of tasting before you buy, especially when introducing new products to your menu. We offer sample sizes of all our tea varieties so you can evaluate flavor profiles, quality, and customer appeal. Contact us to arrange sample shipments—we're happy to help you find the perfect Kenyan teas for your business.

Why is White Silver Tea considered a premium specialty tea?

White Silver Tea represents the apex of Kenyan tea production. Grown at altitudes exceeding 2,000 meters on Mount Kenya's slopes, only the youngest, unopened buds covered in silvery-white down are hand-harvested during a brief seasonal window. The minimal processing—just natural withering and air-drying—preserves delicate flavors and maximizes antioxidants while keeping the tea's cellular structure intact.

Production is extremely limited; the selective harvesting requirements and ideal growing conditions mean many batches yield less than 10kg, qualifying as true microlots. The result is a pristine cup with honeyed sweetness, lasting floral notes, and exceptionally high catechin content—all with lower caffeine than other teas. White Silver Tea offers your customers a rare taste of Kenya's tea heritage that few have experienced.
